LaSAL is a newly established patisserie led by Elena, whose passion and dedication has led to the perfect fusion of classic patisserie and her own reinterpretations. Like ‘the salt of life’, Elena’s cakes – handmade using locally-sourced ingredients – have the power to awaken the senses and sweeten the soul. Whether you
decide to enjoy them at home or in her beautiful store, authentic delicacies await you here: petit fours, tartlets, crunchy sweets, cream cakes, and seasonal creations such as sweet coca (Catalan flatbread), Mones de Pasqua (Easter cakes), bunyols (fried dough balls), panellets (almond sweets for All Saints), and different types
of torron (Catalan nougat).

Among their extensive range, one of the more innovative creations is the Tartaleta de l’Estany, a sweet tribute to Banyoles. This shortcrust pastry tartlet in the shape of the Banyoles lake comes with a choice of three irresistible fillings: vanilla and mascarpone custard, walnut custard with Tatin apple and crumble, or sponge cake with a thin layer of strawberry coulis and a base of hazelnut crunch coated in 80% dark chocolate. A temptation you simply won’t be able to resist!

And don’t miss the chance to try their exclusive chocolate bars, which – as in times gone by – feature collectable images of iconic Banyoles locations. A sweet combination of tradition and modernity that will keep you coming back for more.
