Botifarra i fuet dolços

Embotits Muné (butcher shop): the flavour of tradition

The founders of Can Muné have kept alive the ancient tradition of sweet charcuterie, such as sweet botifarra (a fresh or cured pork sausage) and sweet fuet (a dry-cured pork sausage like salami). These are products with medieval origins, which have become symbolic of this renowned butcher shop and the city’s cuisine and are, of course, very popular.

With the renovation of the butchery in 2019, Can Muné has preserved the essence of its traditional activity, while introducing innovations to adapt their product range to modern tastes. Despite the novelties, their commitment to quality and tradition remains firm, and their sweet sausages are still made with the same natural ingredients and traditional methods as always.

You really don’t want to miss out on these delicious treats, which will surprise you with their quality and flavour. The staff have extensive knowledge of all their goods and can offer expert advice. Ask about their recipe for sweet botifarra with baked apples, an amazing flavour combination. Or how to cook botifarra sausage in a paella pan with toasted bread, which is just mouth-watering. Their sweet fuet, meanwhile, is the perfect appetiser, and adds a touch of distinction to make any moment special.
