The World Rowing Masters Regatta is the largest regatta organized by the International Rowing Federation. In this annual event, up to 4000 participants from all over the world, from the age of 27, row to represent their clubs over a distance of 1000 meters.

Every three minutes, up to eight boats start at the same time to determine the winning teams in 13 different age groups, each with up to seven boat categories and divided by gender. The minimum age in the largest group of participants is 89 years.

In addition, mixed gender races are also organized on Sunday.
