Dragon Boat is a type of canoeing, for sport or leisure, that comes from China and has a dragon as its main symbol. Although it is a competitive sport, the basic technique is very easy to learn and it is a sport that almost everyone can practise.

The crew consists of 10 rowers, 1 helmsman and 1 drum-beater, and any group of people can have a great time competing with each other, even after just a single beginners’ class. 

As well as being an exciting and entertaining activity that anyone can take part in, it boosts teamwork and generates positive attitudes, interrelations, empathy and many other values within the group.
