Rec d'en Teixidor

Its current name comes from the owners of two nearby farmhouses, Mas Teixidor (Brugada-Teixidor) and Mas Hort. Historically, this double canal has sometimes been regarded as two separate canals and at other times as a single one, which explains the complexity of its place names.

As for the Can Teixidor canal, it was known by different names during the Middle Ages. The oldest appears to have been Palau, documented from the 13th century onwards (1274 and 1283), and later Brugada (1440), after the medieval farmhouse located nearby.
