The Xucladors canal was built around 1823 at the initiative of several local landowners. Most of the canal is covered and ends on private property, where the water disappears into the subsoil.
It is the shortest and most modern canal in Banyoles. It was built in 1823 through a private initiative led by several local users. It is relatively small, measuring between 35 and 40 cm in width and 20 cm in depth.
The canal has a very gentle slope, and the water flows because it drains into the Can Bota estate, where a natural fissure absorbs it into the ground (which is where its name comes from). The canal is still used today to irrigate several vegetable gardens.
