Can Teixidor del Terme

Can Teixidor del Terme, a privately owned property, is a historic farmhouse in Banyoles whose origins date back to the 13th century and which is linked to the Teixidor family. In addition to being a traditional farm, it once had a mill and an olive press that made use of the water from the local canals. One of the notable features of the area is the Can Teixidor pond, which is connected to the Ca n'Hort and Teixidor canals.

Near the farmhouse stands the Creu del Terme de Can Teixidor, a Gothic cross of great historical significance. This structure was erected around the 14th-15th centuries but was destroyed during the revolts of the 19th and 20th centuries. However, the cross was restored in 1987 thanks to the fragments that were found. Sculptures of figures like St. John Evangelist, St. Martyr, and others decorate the capital of the cross.
