L'Ombra. Lacittà degli uomini

A reflection on memory, human fragility and the ruins of war.

Joan Crous, an artist from Banyoles who has been based in Italy for decades, is exhibiting his monumental work The Shadow at the Monastery, inspired by Picasso’s Guernica. A programme of accompanying activities will complement this installation, which aims to shed light on the current suffering of the many people living in communities that have become targets of war.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from 12 June to 16 August 2026.
