The giants Martirià and Maria recently celebrated their 75th anniversary. For this reason, the exhibition explains the arrival of the two giants and the seven tadpoles in Banyoles in 1949. Following the line of the last three installations, the exhibition wants to highlight the centuries-old tradition of the Banyoles bestiary and the farandula .
Martiria and Maria, what a couple of giants! it is the result of the exhaustive research in archives and historical documents carried out, once again by the two curators of the exhibition, the art historian Guerau Palmada and the folklorist Àngel Vergés, while the design of the exhibition space has been, again, in charge of the Studio Oliver Gràfic.
