Popular festival in honor of the patron saint of animals, with the participation of the different equestrian clubs of the Pla de l'Estany region.

PROGRAM 2025

Saturday January 25

• At 3:00 p.m.: Gathering of riders on Paseo Dalmau de Banyoles to hand over the pendon to this year’s pendonistas: Pendonist: Mr. Francesc Bosch and Rubirola. Cordonists: Guillem, Arnau and Clara Bosch and Pous. At the end of the parade, the pendonists will offer a snack in the facilities of Can Serrallonga.

Sunday January 26

• From 9am to 11am: Breakfast for all participants.
• At 10 a.m. Mass in the parish church of Santa Maria de Banyoles.
• At 2:40 p.m. Departure of the traditional parade of riders, carriages and companions. Riders will be invited to donuts and sweet wine offered by the riders and establishments along the route.
• At 2:40 p.m. Blessing of the animals in front of the parish church of Sant Maria dels Turers de Banyoles
• At 3:40 p.m. the papordes will dance the traditional short sardana “Bon dia Elionor”. Place: Plaza Mayor

The parade will continue to the Nutrex Oratory. End at Paseo de la Indústria where all participants will receive a gift. 

• At 3 p.m. Sant Antoni's popular lunch with end of party dance and gift draw.
