Starting from the French and Occitan oral heritage, the polyphonic singing group Les Mécanos recovers the repertoires of the regions of its members. With their voices, they offer vocal polyphonies that open up to current music, also thanks to the help of percussion, based on instruments and everyday objects.
When they open the doors of their workshop, songs of work and struggle, love and political and religious satire appear on the scene. Ten voices that are accompanied by wrenches, exhaust pipes or wheel rims, and create a sincere and carefree polyphonic sound.
